I have read so many more bad post on dealerships than good. I have just took my prowler in for some work to be done under warranty. I am worried that they (Dealership)will not replace my chrome wheels as they told me that a District Rep. has to look at them and make the call to OK the replacement. Does anyone know who I can contact at DC???? |

Let us know what the rep tells you, and what you tell him if he gives you the WRONG answer. |

In the old days they were called Zone Managers, try them. DC Customer Assistance Center is 1-800-992-1997 [This message has been edited by Gary C (edited 09-14-2000).] |

I took it in for several things. The dealership said "no problem" on the weatherstripping on the two windows, the seal for the passenger side headlight cover (it was fogging up and I saw where the seal isn't molded so it slipped to one side and let the water in)and the CD player is skipping sometimes. However, 1)on the chrome coming off the wheels, 2)a small crack in the driver side fender, coming off the corner of the brake light and 3) the door weatherstripping rubbing off the paint in the jambs, that a District Manager would have to OK these to be covered under warranty. Thanks for the phone# for DC's customer assistance. This dealership I am dealing with is in Palm Coast, FL. FYI |

Just got 1999 red prowler. Wheels pitted..contacted Chrysler via E-mail after the dealer was dragging his feet. Paul Osberg from DC returned a call within 30 minutes. No problem..wheels are on order and will be replaced this week. |

It really shouldn't matter if the chrome is good, but being outside makes you more susceptible to the elements-No? Met a guy with a 99 at a meet last week-chrome wheels-pitted-parked outside with a cover. Just wondering if this was a common thread with the wheel probs. |

Nyle, you have created more heat in the rear wheels than all of us put together, [This message has been edited by Gary C (edited 09-22-2000).] |

Dealer replaced both my front wheels (Argent finish). The clear coat on the inside was rough and impossible to keep clean. They couldn't mount them so I took mine off, picked up the new wheels from the dealer, took them to a Goodyear store and they mounted them for 65.00 each (the dealer reimbursed me). Then gave the dealer the old wheels back and put the new ones back on.Sooooooo much easier to clean now. |
