Just saw the final sales figures for August and the Prowler sales were 155 (down -7% from prior year). YTD sales 2,027 (up 35% from prior year). This is the 2nd lowest sales month since Jan. 1999 and largest monthly drop from prior year. Don't know what this means?

1) Is winter setting in up North and slow sales period beginning?

2) Market sauturation for 1st time buyers?

3) Thrill is gone, now that Prowler will be produced as Chrysler starting Jan. 2001 for unknown period?

4) Is the inventory sold out, waiting on more production?

5) Other?

Viper sales were up for month (111 up 5%) and PT Cruiser 13,221 (up 22% over previous month). Almost 46,000 of these PTs in five months.

Laddie: All of the above. Dealers price jacking maybe pushing Prowler buyers towards the PTC or out the door. You and I have one, and that is what is important to me! They can stop production in December, and I won't shed a tear.

Laddie,

The Prowler, I think it is the dealers hanging on to them to try to get a couple of extra bucks. Haven't seen a commercial with the Prowler for perhaps 2+ years but for the Viper, they have been advertising with the "Everything on sale, except the Viper" and a Viper only commercial for the past couple of months.

The last Prowler sold in San Diego at a Dealership went for $72000.00, most of the Dealer here are wanting over $60000.00.

I hope a get a Fair Price for my Cat.
