Do you leave your Bra on at all times or just on trips?? Do you remove it when you wash the Kat? Does it mess up the paint? Just a couple of questions I had. |

Bill: Welcome to the POA website. I use the bra for trips where bugs are going to be plentiful on front of the cat. Have never washed cat with bra on, and remember it being said to not let the bra dry on the car if completely wet. I'm sure others with bra can also inform you on their findings. I leave the bra on most of the time, I also wash the car with bra on, but I quickly remove the bra and let it dry on its own as it will destroy the paint if left on while its wet. Also, try to keep the car out of the sun with the bra on, my car sits in the garage about 95% of the time while the bra is on. Hope this helps. |

I leave the Bra on all the time... The Kat is in the garage when not cruising. Whenever, it gets wet (rain storms), I take it off & let dry... I will than vacumn the back side before putting back on Prowler... I've spot cleaned the Kat with Bra on. Bra has been on 13 months & no problem to paint... |

If experience with a smaller bra attached to my Chyrsler Town and Country minivan hood is relevant (which I believe it is) then, a bra left on a car nearly all the time in rain and while drying has never been a problem for my '96 to which the hood bra has been attached most of its life. No effect ever on the paint, so I would disagree with the comments above from J Paulsen about paint damage. I also have the full bra set for my '99 Red and it only comes off for show or going slow. This is not a good example of what might happen for a bra left on a car during all weather, including snow (Note I'm in Wisconsin where it gets white 4 months per year). My T & C, however, shows no effect whatsoever except for protected, non-stoned-chipped hood paint. The Prowler is away from sunlight except for 4-8 hours per week and never put away wet. One caution the bra people recommend, however, and that is to wax the covered surface occasionally which I do. Overall, the stone chips detract plenty from the car and that's what I call paint damage. |
