We'll the doc told us no way, but Saturday morning at 8:19 am my wife had a beautiful 6 pound 2 ounce baby girl...AND I MISSED IT!!! I was on I75 south just north of Toledo trying to make it back from Woodward in a hurry. Katie called at 6:30 saying she was having contractions. All the docs said expect a 12-16 hour labor period before delivery, so I wasn't in a hurry. Her friends that were staying with her took her to the hospital at 7:45 am, they arrived at 8:00, made it to the room by 8:10 and had the baby at 8:19! Pulled over in Toledo, backed the Prowler out of the trailer and took off like a rocket! It's amazing how people get out of your way when you're in a prowler. Everyone moved out of the fast lane and slowed to check me out. Had a great time with everyone on Friday! Nice to put a face with all these names. Looking forward to celebrating birthday number one at Woodward next year! ------------------ |
