I've used a light polishing compound on my chrome wheels. The polishing compound will probably take the light scratches out. Hope this helps! ------------------ |

Pauley, Did you replace your brake pads yet? I did mine about three weeks ago. No more brake dust problem. They are $60 to $80 and very simple to install. Raybestos ceramic, will do the trick. |

Ed, I've seen quite a few posts about the ceramic pads and am thinking about changing mine. Do you notice any difference in the ability to stop quickly? Do the new pads squeek at all? ------------------ |

Mike, I changed the front pads yesterday and I cannot tell any difference. I drove about 50 miles and the Prowler seemed just a surefooted as before. Richard ------------------ |

The only NOTICABLE difference is lack of irritating dust. I don't know about long term but so far I am extremely pleased. |

To clean the wheels of BRAKE DUST CHANGE THE PADS I spent $59.00 for the pads and installed them myself. Yes it took me all night (only because my jack brike and had to go buy a new one) It should take about 30 min. I drove car about 100 miles today and wiped the inside of the wheel with my finger and only had slight mark on my finger from dust. OK so you still need to clean the wheel. I use the same detailing spray on the chrome wheels as the paint. I do the wheels last or use rag JUST FOR THE WHEELS. ------------------ |

I now have 1500 miles on my Cat since the brake pad change. The rotors look good, stopping ability has not been diminished, and still no brake dust. |
