Updated itinerary for Woodward Dream Cruise 2000: Thursday, August 17: Cruise to Lunch: Harold Sullivan Mopar Muscle Car Collection: After the tour, we will head for dinner. I have a place in mind on Woodward. We probably wouldn't be able to sit as a large group, but everyone could get seated at least in 4's or more. Cruisin' Woodward: Friday, August 18: Henry Ford Museum: We will be leaving Holiday Inn at 8:00 am. Takes about an hour to get to the museum (max.). Museum opens at 9:00 am. We will be able to purchase our tickets at the door. Group rate is $10.00 for adults ages 13 or older, ages 5-12 is $6.50. There is food available at the museum for our lunch. You can tour and have lunch at your own pace. We will meet back in the parking lot at 1:00 pm. We will drive back to the Holiday Inn for freshening up, car cleaning, etc. Should take about an hour to get back. Bo's Bistro & Brewery: We will leave the Holiday Inn at 4:00 pm to head for Bo's. Dinner will be at 5:00 pm. Parade on Woodward: The parade is from 7:00 - 8:00 pm (See notes at bottom.) DC Black-T Event: Those people who are attending the Black-T event will cruise together over to DC right after the parade. It will take us about 15 - 20 minutes. The new Black Tie Prowler will be unveiled at 9:00 pm. The event is from 8:00 pm - Midnight. Stay as long as you wish. You also have the option of leaving after a while and heading back to Bo's in Pontiac for more partying/cruising. There will be events going on at the Phoenix Center which is about 2 blocks down from Bo's. You can leave your car parked and walk down. Info will be included in your info packet. Saturday, August 19: We will leave Holiday Inn no later than 8:00 am. We will cruise down Woodward to get to Pontiac and Bo's and it will give you the opportunity to actually do some cruising. It will start to get really crazy about noon. The rest of Saturday will be spent at your discretion (see notes at bottom). Sunday, August 20: Cruise to breakfast for those who want to participate. There are several people who have entered their cars in The Post Dream Cruise Chrysler Classic Car Show at the Walter P. Museum. Cars are on display at 9:00 am. Judging will take place between 10-12 Noon. Awards will be presented at 1:00 pm including the President's Award for Best of Show. All entrants receive a commemorative dash plaque. Sunday, August 20 - Goodbyes
CAAP Plant: Shorts are ok., NO open toed shoes, cameras and video ok. Bring lots of money for the store!! Friday Parade: This parade is an invitation only parade. Because our group is being hosted by the Make A Difference Foundation, we have been invited to participate (even though our cars are newer than 1970). Only those owners who have paid for their spaces are included in this parade. Any other Prowler owners who have not paid for space but would like to cruise over to the DC event with us, can meet at Bo's after the parade. There is a public (pay) parking lot next to Bo's DC Event: Casual - they are encouraging 50's attire, but you can wear whatever. Black T-shirts are not required. The Walter P. Chrysler Museum will be open that evening and there will be no charge. I have spoken to the coordinator for this event and she has told me that if there is anyone in our group that did not receive an invitation, there will be tickets made available to us to purchase there. Saturday Woodward Dream Cruise: There are five cities involved in this cruise. Each one has events planned. We will have Bo's loft for Friday night and all day Saturday. There will be food provided, cash bar, a dance floor and a DJ for Friday night and Saturday. We will include in your information packet an itinerary for all cities' events and maps back and forth to all the places we will be going. The information packets will be at your respective hotels. Please ask for them at the front desk. Cruisin' Rules: We will include a copy of the Cruisin Rules in your info packet. The basics are: Woodward consists of 4 lanes on both sides. There will be two designated lanes for the cruisin' on each side (right curb lanes). The other two on each side are for normal through traffic. 1) No alcohol If I have forgotten anything, please email (Only1CJay@home.com, post or call me (248.650.3321)! |

CJ, We don't have an award for the longest post! However, since you are such a nice, helpful, informative, caring, and fun loving Prowler enthusiast and event coordinator,(did I leave anything out) I believe you have earned your ProwlerOnline POA T shirt. Please e-mail me your address and it will be on it's way to you. Thank you for your dedicated support! ------------------ |

Well, Mike, if there isn't an award for longest post, then I don't deserve a t-shirt!! Save it for someone who officially qualifies! I'll just hold the unofficial record for longest post.....like Larry Lord and his miles!! I could, however, use some help. I am a novice at posting pictures on these posts, the scrapbook, etc. Can someone help me? Have some great ones of the pre-Woodward, Gary C. saga! P.S. How come you aren't coming to Woodward? It would be great to have you here! |

I'm leaving Louisiana earyl Wednesday morning for Woodward... I'm going to try and make it to the 8:00 am Thursday HI in Farmington start point... If I don't make that, I'll try and catch up with yall at CAAP or at Sullivan's museum at 3:00pm... Can someone provide the directions to each of these three places (HI, CAAP & Sullivan Collection). It's probably best to use the HI in Farmington as reference point... Or give me the addresses & I let the internet provide some directions... thanks, laddie... |
