What do all do for livings? Curious as to backgrounds of the type of guys/gals that buy these.

I'm 44, married, have 2 adorable girls (Hannah Scout 3, and Haleigh Savannah 2) and started a B2B pre-ipo company last year that has gone from 3 employees to 35, will be at 50+ by years end, and just finalized round 2 of funding. What a bear (the job that is) but, should be able to retire completely in a year or two.

That's interesting. Both myself and my wife were extras in two movies they shot here in Houston. Oddly enough, they just advertise in the paper for them. So, we applied and were hired. I was in a movie that was supposed to be called "Dark Angels" but they changed the name to "I Come In Peace" with Dolph Lungren. I never met him but, my wife did when they where shooting with her. Her first encounter with him was getting hit by a car by he bad guys (not really but, portrayed that way in the movie). I had 5 (yes, 5) parts in that movie. Reason being is that most people don't pay any attention to the extras in the background or it's fuzzy.

It was a hoot but definitely not a career.

Congrats to those about to have kids (and those that have them)

We waited 10 years to have our first and now we have two lovely baby girls who are our world. To steal a line from a movie, "They complete us"

What a joy!

28, turning 29 tomorrow, married 2 yrs, have a daughter (Lauren) that is 6 weeks old today. Love my prowler and spending time with the wife and new daughter. Mostly looking forward to taking Lauren to amusement parks and car shows.

I am an account executive for a larger bank, and deal in the wholesale mortgage industry. Work from home and love it. Long way till retirement but I think about it often.

And for all you guys about to have a child it is the best thing that ever happened to me. Minus the new sleeping habits. Make sure you play as much of a role in the delivery process as possible, because it is something you will never forget. And take a lot of pictures.

Check out the web site if you want, it is still in the building stage.

Coolest part is, you can turn off the airbag and take your daughter with you in your Prowler. Our two girls love going on dates with dad on Friday night. A drive along the bay then back to yacht club for drinks (Shirley Temple's)

strangely enough if you can't turn the passenger bag off, you have to get written authorization from the government before the local chevy/dodge/whoever will even consider disconnecting it. Government is WAY to intrusive.

Well I think we found the winner of this weeks most popular post award! Ask people to talk about themselves and you have got a winner!! As for me, I am 47 and dont have the hair to prove it. I am divorced but managed to raise two great daughters over the past 25 years. Always had street rods and worked 7 days a week so I couldnt enjoy them! Just sold my business in July and although I am not ready to retire yet, I sure am going to enjoy my Prowler for the rest of this summer!! I will be easy to spot in Detroit because I will probably be doing odd jobs to raise gas money to get home (just kidding)Love my Prowler....BEST STREET ROD EVER!!! Looking forward to meeting lots of prowler owners in Detroit!!P.S. What exactly is a "B2B pre ipo companay" I think I want to get one!

Business to Business (B2B), pre-ipo (about to go public. We deal with the secure transfer of information over the internet to major corporations (A number of Fortune 100 and 500 companies). A couple of guys and me started this last year on a wing and a prayer. We still have 75% ownership after 2 rounds of funding. It's alot of work but alot of fun too. Especially if I can completely retire in about 1 to 1.5 years, buy/do anything we want (anytime we want), help family members and others, and my great-great-grandkids won't have to work if they don't want to.

Time to market and demand will tell, but it's looking pretty good and the momentum has really taking off.
