O.K., most in here can afford any car, some several, some have several currently. Why the Prowler? What was the main draw? I just fell in love with the look. I'm not much for American cars and the quality with these, while o.k., is not up to what some foreign contries is but I was able to look past all of that for the looks of the car. How about you? |

For me, it's the retro-hotrod style and the ear to ear grin I get when I drive the Prowler. It has to be the coolest car in the world! ------------------ |

I agre with "the look". From thr first magazine shots of the car to seein it at the first Chicago Auto Show ... I was hooked. I hate to see myself "coming and going" in a car, and usually change wheels, pinstripe or somethign subtle to make mine "different from the rest". Th car, in itself, makes it different from the rest ... that is why I was hooked, bought and still love driving it and seeing other ones on the road (rare sightings here in NW Burbs of Chi-town). |

quote: I couldn't agree more. The attention it gets is almost embarassing. I find myself biting my lip and trying not to look at any crowd nearby cause they are all looking and pointing and I'd start grinning and laughing if I did |

I fell in love with the Cat the first time I saw one as a concept. Since I have other Plymouths, among them a 1928 Model Q (the first year for Plymouth), I just had to have the last great model that Plymouth would produce. |

I was so hooked on getting my first cat that I had to get rid of one of my cars to do it. After thinking about it for five minutes my 1995 Ferrari 355 was the choice...never looked back. I'm on my third cat now. ------------------ |

Actually bought my first one sort of by accident....wasn't looking for one, was aware they existed(had driven my friends several times)....stopped in the local DC dealership and was checking on another one of my cars....had just made a deal that day for a new Corvette Conv.....the owner of the dealership wanted to know WHY I bought a Chevy, me being a diehard MOPAR enthusiast...why didn't I buy the Prowler....told him I would rather have the Vette for $50K than a Prowler for $65K....he got down to real serious business real fast, I offered MSRP, he bitched and took it....cancelled the Vette the next morning and took the Prowler home for Christmas present for my wife (she hated it) so I drove it !!! ...It was a black 99 Kat....had a lot of fun with it and now am on my 5th one....all have good stories, but this is the first ...Y2K YELO X 3 |

Saw a Prowler for the first time in 98 in a magazine. Instantly fell in love, but had a new arrival, Jason, and couldn't afford it or talk my wife into it. Things have changed since then. One more son, Kyle, and my company kind of took off so I had a little money. I agree with Mike. This car has the old time American hot rod look that I love and others love. There isn't one car out there like it. Don't want a BMW, Porsche, or Lamborghini. I have a Prowler. I fell in love with the front end more than anything. I have never have been a person that liked attention, but when I drive the Prowler to work and I see a small kid, or maybe a big one, pointing and jumping up and down I smile knowing at some level I have made them happy by driving the Prowler. I know it makes me happy. On another note. A guy in a Harley sized me up the other day. Tough looking guy with a long beard and chains. After about a minute going down I-395 he gave me the thumbs up. I was wearing my usual business attire, a suit and corporate noose but this guy still recognized my "spirit". What a car, what an experience. Prowl on.... Go Hokies!!!!! |

I fell in love with the look the first time I saw one. I bought it strickly for the look and really didnt care about comfort or performance. I must admit though, there is nothing about the Prowler that I dont like. I have owned quite a few different sports cars and this one is an absolute pleasue to own!! |
