Thanks to Tony Goertz & Roger Freeman you can finally see the picture of the new burnt orange color Prowler. The picture was taken about 6 weeks ago at CAAP but I was unable to post it. I finally sent it to Roger Freeman who emailed it back to me. I then sent it to Tony Goertz who posted it. Check Prowlin Friends scrapbook under my name. Thanks Tony & Roger. I am waiting to see it in person. Right now, from the pic I have seen, I absolutely love it. But I want to see it in person before making a final opinion on it. |

I LOVE the new orange color! I wonder if I could do an even trade for my 99 purple with only 3000 miles LOL. Gotta start saving some bucks. Damn them for making a cooler color than purple! ------------------ |

Larry, 1. Secure it. 2. When the compass shows "W", start drivin'. 3. Keep the Canadian boarder to your starbird side, and keep movin'. 4. Stay as far away from Houston as possible. 5. Auction off your return ticket at Woodward, it'll be a hot item this winter. RLF |

I was advised by email that DC wanted the picture pulled until after the new orange color is unveiled at Woodward. I guess they don't want all that adverse publicity or are afraid GM or Ford will unveil an orange Prowler within the next couple of weeks. I don't follow the logic. Since I didn't post it personally, I couldn't pull it. But don't get upset with the person who pulled it, he was told to or requested to and he complied. I don't follow the reasoning for the decision but then again, I really don't know the reason. I will email anyone a copy that wants one. It's only a few weeks, anyway. Please don't repaint your yellow, red, black, purple or silver cat the burnt orange color in the next few weeks. |

DC allows taking pictures at the CAAP as a courtesy to us. This just adds to our Prowler experience. In this instance DC is using the new color as a key feature in their Black T event. Their invitation reads " A brand-new hot rod unveiled!" I feel we can extend the same courtesy to them. No one at DC requested the removal, it was simply suggested by a prowler owner with consideration for DC. A complete photo spread will be posted after the Black T. Let's all go to Woodward for a First Look Up Close" [This message has been edited by Tony Goertz (edited 08-05-2000).] |
