For those of you out there towing the Prowleer & using the Mopar Traileer Hitch---word of advice---take your rig into the shop and have the welds alondside the hitch receptical checked out. Mine came completely off the other day and upon inspection, found the welds of be virtually non-existant. Could have done a better job with a tube of super glue. My hitch receiver is now welded on all 4 sides and won't ever come off again. Just be sure to dis-connect your battery prior to doing any welding or you'll fry the computer. I've filed a complaint/claim with DC and am waiting to see what happends.

Harry,
as you stated, the tube on the hitch of your prowler came off towing Prowler trailer?

I better check mine today. have at least 5,000 miles towing the trailer and some on twisty roads.

Thanks for the info

I'll do the same, 4000+ towing some at 80+, could be very exciting....

Had car on lift to clean the bottom and checked out the hitch, NO SIGNS OF CRACKS
Boy I'm glad!

We (all trailer/weekender owners)should all inspect the welds as we clean our cars.

The weekender might add more pressure to the hitch than just the trailer, it should be designed to support each but keep this in mind
