Someone stole a tire cap from my car. The Plymouth parts dept. wants to charge $175 to replace it! I know it has a sensor unit built into it, but that seems excessive. Anyone know where to get them cheaper. Just for general info, I also lost a hub cap after hitting a bump, they cost a somewhat more reasonable $70. |

You can get Prowler valve caps at http://www.logonuts.com/ or you can also go to any good tire or wheel shop to get a replacement cap. You may have to change all of them. On the cost for the hub cap, must be chrome, you should be able to get them for less, I got a second set(4) for spares and the total cost including tax was < $250.00. ------------------ |

Are you saying the valve stem cap has the sensor in it????? I replaced mine with chrome caps. I hope I kept the other ones. |

The sensor is actually at the base of the valve stem within the wheel. If you just lost the cap, you can replace it with a standard cap. Should only cost a buck or so not $175. I agree the Logo Caps are pretty cool!!! ------------------ |

I replaced my valve caps two years ago, the day I got the car and my sensors work fine. There is nothing in the cap because I kept mine and they are just regular caps...I checked after reading these posts |

I'd like to thank every body for getting back to me on my little tire cap tragedy. I really thought they had sensors in them, at least that is what the dealer lead me to believe. I wanted to replace them all with chrome caps and will do just that now. Thanks again, Tom |
