We completed the install last evening and Dynoed the car today. The Paxton kit produces 231 hp at the rear wheels out of the box. We made a few tweeks on the dyno and got the rwhp up to 293 hp! I'll post dyno charts and tips to increase HP soon. I have a little over a 100 miles on the car and blew the V belt that goes to the AC compressor. I believe it was my fault, because I failed to tighten the belt tensioner locking nut. I hope to have a new belt on tomorrow and continue Prowlin'! |

It was about 95 degrees today in Houston and the car ran just a hair hotter than normal. The temp gauge was just slightly above the middle tick on the gauge. I don't think that over heating will be a problem. |

I now have around 200 miles with the Paxton SC installed. The last 100 or so is with the open air box. No problems. My temp gauge is running normal (just above center line on temp gauge). Now, I'm just waiting on Mike's mods... laddie... |

Awsome ... simple awsome guys!! I love this site, this discussion board and the fact that there isn't a "big brother" watching every word that is typed. Can't wait to see the dyno numbers as well ... wish I could make th mod to my cat ... but, will just have to live vicariously through you wild men! Prowl On! |

Hi, Mike -- Just learned about this new site. It is refreshing to know that we have an alternative without censorship, JT attacks, and commercialism disguised as a so-called "club." I now have 9500 miles on my '99 Prowler. Three months ago I retired and moved from KY to FL. Can drive year-round with the top down! I have a lot of interest & experience with Paxton superchargers, since in 1964 I bought a Studebaker Avanti factory-equipped with a Paxton. I just got back from driving it 2400 miles to Wisconsin for our National Studebaker Meet, and had no problems with it. The Avanti has 171,000 miles on it, and I have rebuilt the supercharger twice and the engine twice. I believe the Nova 1000 is a Roots-type whereas the Paxton that's on my Avanti is centrifugal. The Roots-type has several advantages over the centrifugal in my opinion. I have driven Avantis with no supercharger and, of course, mine with a supercharger and there is no comparison in straightline performance. I'll continue to follow the Paxton supercharged Prowler project with great interest since I am a 37-year owner of a Paxton. Thanks again for the site and I will stay tuned. |

Good going!!!! I agree with everyone's observations. After reading JT's post last night, I think I'll be tuning into this chanel more often. I will be removing the PPC link from my local website ( http://communities.msn.com/OregonProwler ), and adding his one. |
